Our Diocesan MAT is committed to providing the highest possible quality of education in our 21 CofE primary schools. We are seeking a highly competent, enthusiastic individual to join our MAT central team from September 2024 and become our new Lead for SEND strategy. This new post is available on a part-time basis for 0.6fte for the school year 2024/25. The post could also be worked on a 0.4fte or 0.5fte basis. If you are an experienced SENDCo and are keen to shape SEND strategy across our Trust, this could be the job for you.

We are looking for someone who is solution-focussed to:

  • Develop and provide strategic oversight of SEND across our Trust
  • Help shape and drive the Trust’s commitment to inclusion
  • Provide guidance, advice and practical strategies to teachers and SENDCos across the Trust

You will:

  • Further develop, in partnership with the CEO and Headteachers, a Trust- wide strategy
  • Lead the professional network for SEND
  • Work with schools on developing appropriate alternative provision
  • Provide regular support for Headteachers and teachers, in reference to the outcomes and provision for our SEND pupils
  • Lead and support quality assurance procedures across the Trust
  • Analyse school performance, diagnose issues, broker support and monitor outcomes
  • Have and maintain an understanding of current educational issues and legislation to ensure that the Trust is at the forefront of national agendas relating to SEND

You will need:

  • A degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • SENCO qualification
  • Creativity and resilience.
